Is This the Age of Sage

Every so often, a colour starts appearing everywhere—not because it's the latest fad, but because people genuinely enjoy living with it.

For us, that colour is sage.

Over the past year, we've seen more and more clients choosing sage for fitted bedrooms, home offices and living spaces. It has a softness to it that instantly changes the feel of a room, creating interiors that are warm, calm and effortlessly welcoming.

Perhaps that's why it's becoming so popular.

Our homes have become more than just somewhere to eat and sleep. They're where we unwind after a busy day, spend time with family and escape from the pace of everyday life. It's only natural that people are choosing colours that help create that feeling.

Sage does exactly that.

Inspired by nature, it brings a sense of warmth without being overpowering. It feels fresh without being cold, and adds character while remaining understated. It's one of those colours that quietly transforms a space without demanding all the attention.

It's also incredibly versatile. Whether it's paired with natural oak for a relaxed, Scandinavian feel, rich walnut for something more luxurious, or brushed brass handles for a touch of elegance, sage seems to complement almost every material we work with.

That doesn't mean it's replacing the classics. Grey, cashmere and white will always have their place, and they're still some of our most popular choices. Sage simply offers another direction for those looking to create a home that feels a little softer and more connected to nature.

As designers, we're always looking beyond what's fashionable today. The best interiors are the ones that still feel right years later, and we think sage has all the qualities of a colour that will stand the test of time.

So, is this the age of sage?

If the homes we're designing are anything to go by, we'd certainly say it's having a moment, and it's easy to see why.
